Long Island wedding band showcasesWe will set up a private showcase at a rehearsal studio in Manhattan for anyone seriously considering hiring us. Average Bar Band rehearses three or more times a week and we pride ourselves on sounding even better live than in a recording or on a video. And we believe seeing a band live is always the best way to get a feel for what they do.
Unfortunately, we can’t invite prospective clients to hear us play at a wedding or birthday party, and if they hear us in a bar, we may not have time to sit down and talk after the show or between performances.
A Manhattan or Long Island Wedding Band Showcase is the ideal way to show our strengths and help brides and grooms better understand who we are, how we play, our sound and if it’s the right match for their wedding.
Long Island wedding band showcases are a blast! At a showcase, we rent a rehearsal space and play five tunes for the client from our song list. If we have time, we’ll even learn a new tune that the client requests. Typically this is the First Dance song, but it’s the client’s choice. A showcase is also ideal because it gives us time after the performance to talk to the client without distractions.
Here we are in action…enjoy. Average Bar Band is built on rehearsing and personal practice. Our goal is to play and sing the tunes as good as, or better than, the original recording by the original artists. This is not always possible, but that is the standard we hold ourselves to. And a wedding band showcase is the best way to prove what we say, that “It’s our job to give the client what they want, and play the music like we wrote it ourselves.”
We’ve performed wedding music to appreciative crowds of all ages in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, Rockland County, Upstate New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and throughout New Jersey and Long Island, including a recent performance at a large wedding on Long Island’s North Fork.
With Average Bar Band, you’ll be trusting one of the most important days of your life to musicians who’ve played with Norah Jones, Lauryn Hill, Gloria Estefan, The Teenagers (“Why Do Fools Fall In Love“) and The Chiffons (“He‘s So Fine“). One of our sub guitarists showcased for Clive Davis. Another sub guitarist plays in Rocky on Broadway. Another played in the house band on the Spanish language version of the TV show The Voice. Our subs are just as good, or better, than our main members, and have the websites, videos, mp3s and reviews to prove it.
Wedding band showcases are ideal because we want you to pick Average Bar Band for your wedding because we’re talented, polished musicians committed to creating great music and to making your Long Island wedding unforgettable, not because of slick marketing or promotions.
