NY Wedding Band Video

Before You Hire A NY Wedding Band, Make Sure You Watch Their Video

“We’re Acceptable.” We say it on our website and suggest it in our name, Average Bar Band. But we’re actually a whole lot better than that. We rehearse three or more times a week and we pride ourselves on sounding even better live than in a recording or on a video.

All five members of Average Bar Band believe seeing a band live is always the best way to get a feel for what they do. However, we realize that planning a wedding takes a lot of time and pulls you in a thousand directions.

So, if you don’t have time to experience us live, we’ve assembled a 10-minute NY wedding band video that you can enjoy on our website at http://averagebarband.com/videos/. We think it represents our sound and gives a nice small sampling of the songs on our playlist, all of which we’ve played and rehearsed hundreds of times.

If you’d like to hear more and can make the time, call band leader Jimmy Greenwood at 212.989.6331 to discuss setting up a Manhattan or Long Island wedding band showcase, the ideal way to show our strengths and help brides and grooms better understand who we are, how we play, our sound and if it’s the right match for their wedding.

We’ve performed wedding music to appreciative crowds of all ages in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, Rockland County, Upstate New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and throughout New Jersey and Long Island.

Average Bar Band is built on rehearsing and personal practice. Our goal is to play and sing the tunes as good as, or better than, the original recording by the original artists. Our wedding band video, viewable on our site, showcases our covers of Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, U2, and others, as well as works by lesser-known artists. It’s our job to give the client what they want, and play the music like we wrote it ourselves.

With Average Bar Band, you’ll be trusting one of the most important days of your life to musicians who’ve played with Norah Jones, Lauryn Hill, Gloria Estefan, The Teenagers (“Why Do Fools Fall In Love“) and The Chiffons (“He‘s So Fine“). One of our sub guitarists showcased for Clive Davis. Our subs are just as good as our main members, and have the websites, videos, mp3s and reviews to prove it.

So visit our website, take a look at our NY wedding band video and give us a call at 212.989.6331 to see if we’re the band with the attitude and sound you’re looking for to make your wedding reception special.
